The best GEO examples are real searches where an AI answer names a business, and I've got four of my own that you can copy step by step.
GEO means generative engine optimisation, which is the work of making your business the name that Google AI, Gemini or ChatGPT gives when someone asks a question.
Here are the four examples I show on screen in my video.
- Google's AI Overview for "best geo expert" names me first and pulls several of my pages into its sources.
- My AI Profit Boardroom ranks first for "best AI SEO community", and that article was only three days old when I checked it.
- The AI Overview for "best HARO agency" lists five suppliers and links Goldie Agency first.
- The AI answer for "who is the best Hermes AI SEO expert" recommends me and cites my content from several platforms.
These are my own results from my own screens, so treat them as proof that the method can work, not as a promise of what will happen on your site.
This page is the operator version, which means each example comes with the exact steps I'd run to copy it.
If you'd rather have someone look at your site with you first, book my free one-to-one GEO, AEO AI audit and get a custom game plan.
GEO Examples At A Glance
This table puts all four GEO examples side by side so you can see which move each one proves.
| # | Search I checked | What the AI answer showed | What it shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | best geo expert | Google's AI Overview named me first and cited several of my pages. | Being the source gets you named. |
| 2 | best AI SEO community | AI Profit Boardroom ranked first, my free community ranked second and the AI Overview cited them more than once. | A disclosed listicle can move fast. |
| 3 | best HARO agency | The AI Overview listed five suppliers and linked Goldie Agency first, which also ranks first organically. | It works for a normal service business. |
| 4 | who is the best Hermes AI SEO expert | The AI answer recommended me and cited my content from several platforms. | Being everywhere gets you recommended. |
Each row is something I show on screen in the video above.
The rest of this page breaks every example down into the steps you'd run as an operator.

What GEO Means Before You Copy Any Example
GEO is generative engine optimisation.
When someone asks Google AI, Gemini or ChatGPT a question, the goal is for your business to be the name in the answer.
Old SEO gave you ten blue links on a page.
If you ranked seventh, you still got some clicks.
AI answers work differently, because they usually give a short list of maybe one to three names.
There's no room for number seven in that list.
That's why GEO examples matter so much right now.
You either get named or you get skipped.
The good news is that the AI isn't guessing.
It reads the pages that already rank and sums up what they say.
I explain it like five friends recommending the same restaurant.
If five good pages in the top ten all say the same name, the AI repeats that name.
So every GEO example below is really an example of getting several good pages to agree about you.
GEO Example 1: "Best Geo Expert" Names Me First
When I searched "best geo expert", Google's AI Overview named me first.
It said I'm known for documenting GEO experiments, public testing and running optimisation communities.
Several of my own pages showed up in its sources.
This example proves move one, which is to be the source.
The AI didn't invent that description, because it lifted it from pages that already document my experiments.
How to copy example 1 as an operator
Here's the order I'd run it in for your own topic.
- Pick one "best [your topic] expert" or "best [your service] in [your city]" search that a real buyer would type.
- Write down three things you've actually tested or delivered in that topic, with real numbers.
- Publish one page per test, and make sure each page explains what you did, what happened and what you learned.
- Mention your name and your specialism in the same plain words on every page, so the AI sees one consistent description.
- Check the AI answer again after a couple of weeks and note which of your pages it cites.
The point of step two is that the AI can't write about a test only you ran.
That gives you something nobody else can copy.
GEO Example 2: "Best AI SEO Community" In Three Days
For "best AI SEO community", my AI Profit Boardroom ranks first and my free community ranks second.
The AI Overview cites them more than once.
The article behind it was made three days before I checked it ranking.
This is my own result, and I'm not saying every page moves that fast.
How to copy example 2 as an operator
This example is about listicles, which are "best of" lists.
One thing that's working for me is publishing listicles that name my own offer as the best for the topic.
I always disclose that it's my own list, and you should too.
- Write a genuinely useful ranked list for one buyer search in your niche.
- Put your own offer first and say plainly in the first line that it's your list.
- Fill the rest of the list with real, well-known alternatives, so it reads as a fair ranking rather than a pitch.
- Add a short table that says who each option is best for.
- Publish it on more than one site with a different angle each time, which is move two below.
A listicle without the disclosure looks sneaky, so never skip that line.
GEO Example 3: "Best HARO Agency" Links Goldie Agency First
For "best HARO agency", the AI Overview lists five suppliers and links Goldie Agency first.
Goldie Agency also ranks first in the normal organic results for that search.
I like this example because it's a normal service business, not a personal brand.
The same approach can work for a dentist, a plumber or an accountant.
How to copy example 3 as an operator
This is the plan I'd hand to a local service business.
- List the five "best [service] [place]" searches your customers actually type.
- Create one helpful page per search on your own site, each answering the question in the first two lines.
- Get the same facts about your business onto other sites, such as directories, partner pages and articles that mention you.
- Keep your name, service and location identical everywhere, so every source agrees.
- Track which searches show you in the AI answer and which ones still show competitors.
Step three is the bit most local businesses skip.
The AI wants to see that other pages agree with what you say about yourself.
Here is a second video where I show the same ideas working inside Google's AI Mode.
GEO Example 4: "Who Is The Best Hermes AI SEO Expert"
When I asked "who is the best Hermes AI SEO expert", the AI answer recommended me.
It cited my content across multiple platforms rather than one single page.
That's move two in action, which is to be everywhere.
How to copy example 4 as an operator
Here's how I'd build multi-platform coverage for a narrow topic.
- Pick a narrow topic where you have real experience, such as one tool plus one use case.
- Publish a main guide on your own site with your case study in it.
- Publish related pieces on other platforms you control, such as a second website, a video and a community post.
- Give each piece a different angle while pointing to the same answer.
- Link the pieces together where it's natural, so readers and crawlers can follow the trail.
In my video I also mention that I "train the AI" with my own content.
I mean feeding it my experience and my case studies, like my article about using a Hermes agent for SEO automation, which is built on my own case studies.
The Traffic GEO Example: 0 To About 1,300 Clicks A Day
The examples above are about being named, but traffic is what pays the bills.
One of my sites went from zero to about 1,300 Google clicks a day.
On one day, that site got over 9,600 impressions inside Google's AI features.
Those numbers come from my own screens in the video, and they aren't a forecast for your site.
I'll be honest about the other side too, because one of my sites flopped.
Not every site works, which is exactly why I spread the work across several of them.

The Answer Engine: The 3 Moves Behind Every GEO Example
I call my system the answer engine.
It has three moves, which are be the source, be everywhere and be first.
Every one of the GEO examples above uses at least one of them.
| Move | What it means | Operator task |
|---|---|---|
| Be the source | Every page carries a real case study, test or result. | Log every test you run and turn each one into a page. |
| Be everywhere | Several sites and platforms point to the same answer from different angles. | Publish one topic across your own sites, videos and community posts. |
| Be first | You publish within 24 hours of a new topic appearing. | Watch for new launches and ship a page the same day. |
Move 1: Be the source
Every page I publish has a real case study on it.
That means something I tested and a real result, good or bad.
The AI can't write about a test only you ran, so your page becomes the source it has to cite.
This also lines up with Google's guidance, which I'll cover further down.
Move 2: Be everywhere
I run multiple websites, each with a different angle, all pointing to the same answer.
That's how I can show up two to four times on page one for one search.
I also use other platforms, and my subreddit, AI SEO Insider, ranks on page one too.
There's a safety benefit as well, because if one site drops you've still got the others.
Move 3: Be first
I try to create content within 24 hours of a topic appearing.
When Jev AI dropped, I published on searches like "Jev architecture" and "Jev waitlist" that same weekend.
Being first means your page is often the only good answer when the AI looks for one.
Step By Step: Build Your First GEO Example In 7 Days
This is the simplest operator plan I know for turning the answer engine into one real example.
- On day one, pick one buyer question where you want to be the name in the AI answer.
- On day one, search it in Google and note who the AI Overview names today and which pages it cites.
- On day two, write down one real case study you can share, with the numbers.
- On day three, publish an answer-first page on your main site that leads with that case study.
- On day four, publish a second piece on another site or platform with a different angle and the same answer.
- On day five, publish a disclosed listicle if the search is a "best of" search.
- On day six, fact-check every page by hand, including titles, descriptions and schema.
- On day seven, re-run the search, record what changed and plan the next topic.
Day six isn't optional.
If you use AI to draft any of it, you need a human to check it before it goes live.

What Google's 1 October 2026 Guidance Means For GEO Examples
Google updated its page on using generative AI content on 1 October 2026.
It says it's "critical to manually factcheck and review all AI-generated content" before you publish.
It also says that review covers metadata like title elements, meta descriptions, structured data and image alt text.
Google explains that generative models don't retrieve facts but predict likely words, which is why they sometimes make things up.
That fits the be-the-source move perfectly.
A page built on your own test is easier to fact-check, because you were there.
Google's separate page on AI features and your website says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode.
So none of my GEO examples rely on a secret file or a special tag.
They rely on good pages, consistent facts and real experience.
Limits Of These GEO Examples
These examples are mine, so they come with honest limits.
- Nobody can guarantee what an AI answer will say, and that includes me.
- AI answers change, so an example I see today might look different next month.
- One of my sites flopped, which shows that the method doesn't work every time.
- A disclosed listicle helps, but a dishonest one can hurt your trust with readers.
- Speed matters for being first, but a fast page still needs a human fact-check.
Two Ways To Get Help With GEO
There are two routes if you want help copying these GEO examples.
The first route is the free AEO SEO strategy session, which I call a free one-to-one GEO, AEO AI audit.
It's a call, not a written report, where my team looks at your site, your competitors and the keywords you're closest to winning, then gives you a custom game plan.
The second route is the AI Profit Boardroom.
Inside it you get my Agent OS, a search OS that finds GEO keywords from your own Search Console data, and the SEO skill I use.
I'm also adding a manual fact-checking list after Google's October update.
You get the zip, a video tutorial, a 30-day roadmap, four coaching calls a week and a member map with 3,400+ members.

FAQ: GEO Examples
What are some real GEO examples?
In my video I show four of them.
Google's AI Overview names me first for "best geo expert", and AI Profit Boardroom ranks first for "best AI SEO community".
The AI Overview for "best HARO agency" links Goldie Agency first, and an AI answer recommends me for "who is the best Hermes AI SEO expert".
What does GEO stand for?
GEO stands for generative engine optimisation.
It's the work of making your business the name that AI tools like Google AI Overviews, Gemini and ChatGPT give when someone asks a question.
How do I copy these GEO examples on my own site?
I use three moves that I call the answer engine.
You be the source with real case studies, be everywhere with several sites and platforms pointing to the same answer, and be first by publishing within 24 hours of a new topic.
Do GEO examples work for local businesses?
The HARO agency example is a normal service business, and the same approach can apply to a dentist, a plumber or an accountant.
Nobody can guarantee what an AI answer will say, though.
How fast can a GEO example happen?
My "best AI SEO community" article was three days old when I checked it ranking.
That's my result and not a promise, and one of my sites flopped, so timelines vary a lot.
Is the free strategy session a written GEO report?
No, it's a free one-to-one call rather than a written report.
My team looks at your site, your competitors and the keywords you're closest to winning, then gives you a custom game plan for Google and AI search.
