The slow parts are finding the right sites, working out who to email, writing a pitch that doesn't sound like a template, and planning content that people actually want to link to.
AI makes those parts faster, but it doesn't make an editor say yes.
A real editor on a real website still has to decide your page is worth linking to.
That is the line that matters, and it's the line most buyers miss.
Some "AI link building" offers are just software that spams comments, directories and auto-generated blogs, and Google explicitly calls that link spam.
I'll show you the exact policy wording further down, because it's the single most useful thing to understand before you spend a penny.

I started with a cryptocurrency website while I was travelling in Asia, and I wrote content for months with zero traffic from Google.

One case study on the site shows The Wheel Generator growing traffic by 767% between May and August 2025 with only 6 backlinks.

Every one of these is a real, established company, and I've only described what they say about themselves on their own sites.
I haven't listed prices for them, because most quote after a call, and I'm not going to guess.
2. Page One Power
Page One Power calls itself SEO's original custom link building agency, and it says it has done link building exclusively since 2010.
Its team is 100% US-based, made up of senior strategists, SEO engineers and technical SEOs.
Alongside link building, it offers digital PR, on-page SEO, AI Search Optimisation, internal linking and technical SEO audits.
It openly says it isn't the cheapest option, which I actually respect.
3. uSERP
uSERP sells editorial links that it says are earned by outreach and never bought.
It also offers GEO, AEO and AI search services, digital PR built on original research, and fractional SEO leadership.
The AI angle is its in-house toolsuite, which finds the sources that AI Overviews and chatbots already cite and then targets those sites.
4. Editorial.Link
Editorial.Link says it is trusted by 500+ brands and earns links from sites averaging DR 67.
You get a trial backlink before you sign, and you see the prospects first, so only sites you select go into the campaign.
It uses a proprietary tool called Link Type Classifier to check whether a site sells links, and it avoids those sites.
5. Siege Media
Siege Media now positions itself as a full-service GEO agency for brands.
Its services include content strategy, content creation, digital PR, research reports and affiliate partnerships.
It advertises AI-enhanced, real-time content strategy, and that content-first approach is how it earns links.

Respona sells done-for-you brand placements built to rank in search and AI answers.
It describes its product as AI-powered link building with a pay-per-result model.
Its content process uses AI deep research for briefs, and it says humans and AI work together to write the articles.
7. Outreach Monks
Outreach Monks has run since 2017 and says it delivers 4,000+ manual links every month.
It promises no PBNs, it's white-label ready for agencies, and it sells Brand Mentions for AI visibility.
8. FATJOE
FATJOE is a white-label SEO marketplace that says it has delivered over 260,000 orders since 2012.
It covers blogger outreach, niche edits, multilingual outreach, digital PR and content writing.

This is where the good services and the spammy ones split apart.
Here's where AI genuinely helps a link building campaign.

What Google's Link Spam Policy Says
Google's spam policies define link spam as creating links primarily to manipulate search rankings.
Its list of examples includes "using automated programs or services to create links to your site".
The same list includes buying or selling links for ranking purposes, excessive link exchanges, low-quality directory links and optimised links in forum signatures.
Google also says paid links are fine for advertising, as long as they're marked with rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow".
On content, the scaled content abuse policy calls out using generative AI to generate many pages without adding value for users.
So the safe rule is simple, because AI should do the research and drafting, and people should earn the links.

This is the exact process I'd run if I were buying links for my own site tomorrow.
Step 1: Pick the pages that need links
Write down three to five money pages that already rank on page two or page three.
Those pages are where links move the needle fastest, because Google already thinks they're relevant.
Step 2: Audit what you already have
Check your current backlink profile for toxic or spammy links before you add anything new.

These are the warning signs I'd act on straight away.
- A provider that guarantees first-page rankings is promising something nobody controls.
- A price of hundreds of links for a tiny fee usually means automated or low-quality placements.
- A service that calls itself "fully automated" link creation is describing exactly what Google bans.
- A provider that won't show you the sites before or after placement is hiding something.
- Every link using the same keyword-rich anchor is a pattern Google's policy specifically calls out.
