FlyHermes is a paid, hosted service that runs a Hermes Agent for you in the cloud, so you can message your own agent on web chat, Telegram, Slack or WhatsApp without renting or configuring a server.
It is operated by HF Data Studio LLC, it is not made by Nous Research, and its main plan was listed at $49 a month, or $39 a month billed annually, when I checked the official FlyHermes site on 11 October 2026.
This post is the operator walkthrough, so you'll get what it is, what's included, the exact prices, the setup steps in order, how to use each feature, the limits and how it compares with Hermes Cloud, a VPS and your own Mac.
I run Hermes every day on my Mac and I've deployed Hermes Cloud, but this post is built from what FlyHermes publishes on its own pages, not from a long hands-on test of a paid workspace.
That means I'll tell you where the site is clear, where it is vague and where two of its pages disagree.
What FlyHermes Is In Plain English
Hermes Agent is the free, open-source AI agent from Nous Research.
It keeps memory, uses real tools, runs scheduled jobs and talks to you through chat apps.
The catch is that it needs a machine that stays switched on, and somebody has to install it, connect a model and wire up the chat apps.
FlyHermes is a company that does that part for you and charges a monthly fee.
Its site describes the product as a hosted Hermes workspace with five things bundled into one plan.
- The plan includes a hosted server, so the agent runs on their infrastructure and not on your laptop.
- The plan includes model API access for supported providers, so you don't open separate OpenAI or Anthropic accounts.
- The plan includes tooling infrastructure, which the site describes as scraping and tooling for operator workflows.
- The plan includes core channels, which the home page lists as Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, Discord and web chat.
- The plan includes a monthly usage allowance, although the home page doesn't state how big that allowance is.
The headline promise on the site is that web chat is ready in about 60 seconds.
Who Makes FlyHermes And Is It Official?
The footer of the FlyHermes site says it is operated by HF Data Studio LLC, with an address at 447 Broadway in New York.
Its refund policy describes HF Data Studio LLC as a Wyoming limited liability company.
The same footer says, in its own words, that it is an independent service and not affiliated with Nous Research.
That matters, because Nous Research has its own hosted product called Hermes Cloud, which lives inside the Nous Portal.
The naming gets confusing, because the FlyHermes app page at cloud.flyhermes.ai also uses the words "Hermes Cloud" as a heading.
Those are two different products from two different companies, and I'll compare them properly further down.
FlyHermes Pricing On 11 October 2026
I read three FlyHermes pages on 11 October 2026, and they don't all show the same plan list.
The home page shows one plan, called FlyHermes Pro, with a launch offer label.
| Where I saw it | Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | What the page lists |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Home page | FlyHermes Pro | $49 a month | $39 a month, billed $468 a year | Hosted Hermes agent, Telegram, Slack, WhatsApp, web chat, model API access, persistent memory, built-in tools and skills, scheduled jobs |
| App page | Starter | $49 a month | The page says from $39 a month | 50 tasks a day, 5 heavy tasks a day, 1 connected channel, 1 agent identity, all AI models, persistent memory |
| App page | Solopreneur | $99 a month | Annual saves about 20% | 200 tasks a day, 30 heavy tasks a day, all channels, 3 agent identities, scheduled jobs |
| App page | Operator | $199 a month | Annual saves about 20% | 1,000 tasks a day, all channels and integrations, 10 agent identities, searchable archive, custom integrations, 3 team seats |
| Home and app pages | Team or Enterprise | Book a call | Book a call | SSO and SAML, a dedicated success manager and SLA-backed uptime |
The separate Operator page on the main site lists the Operator plan at $199 a month, or $159 a month billed annually at $1,908 a year.
That page also lists a Solopreneur plan at $99 a month, or $79 a month billed annually at $948 a year.
The home page says "one agent, one simple plan", while the app page shows three tiers with daily task limits.
I can't tell you which tier list you'll see at checkout, so read the plan name and the limits on the checkout page before you pay.
Prices like these change, and the home page itself calls $49 a launch offer.
What You Need Before You Start
You need very little, which is the whole point of the product.
- You need an email account to sign in with, and the privacy policy says sign-in runs through Google OAuth.
- You need a payment card, and the privacy policy says Stripe processes the payment.
- You need the Telegram app if you want Telegram as your first chat channel.
- You need a clear first job for the agent, such as a morning briefing or inbox triage.
You don't need a server, Docker, a terminal or a model API key to get to the first message.

How To Set Up FlyHermes Step By Step
These steps combine the three-step flow on the home page with the four-step quick start in the FlyHermes docs.
I've kept to what those pages say, so I won't describe buttons I haven't seen.
Step 1: Read the pricing section and choose a billing period
Go to flyhermes.ai and scroll to the pricing section.
Choose monthly if you're testing, because the annual plan charges $468 upfront.
Step 2: Click "Deploy my agent" and sign in
The deploy button sends you to a sign-in page on the FlyHermes site.
The privacy policy says FlyHermes collects your email address, name and profile picture through Google OAuth.
Step 3: Pay at the hosted checkout and confirm your workspace
The docs call the first step "create your workspace", and they say you start from the hosted checkout and then confirm the workspace.
Check the plan name, the price and any daily task limit on that checkout page.
Step 4: Send your first message in web chat
The site says web chat is ready first, in about 60 seconds.
Send a simple message that tells the agent who you are and what you want help with.
Step 5: Connect Telegram
The docs call Telegram the fastest first channel.
They say you can add your own bot token or invite the managed bot into the right chat.
If you bring your own bot, you create it by messaging @BotFather in Telegram and sending /newbot, which is the standard Telegram way to get a bot token.
The docs say FlyHermes keeps topic and group context intact for long-running work.
Step 6: Add other channels only when you need them
The home page lists Slack, WhatsApp and Discord next to Telegram and web chat.
The docs also mention email, webhooks and the CLI as later additions.
The Starter tier on the app page lists one connected channel, so check your plan before you plan around three.
Step 7: Connect tools and keys one at a time
The docs say to connect only the services you need first.
They name GitHub, Gmail, Google Workspace, Stripe, Vercel, browser automation and custom APIs.
The docs tell you to store API keys in the workspace environment and never paste private tokens into a public thread.
Step 8: Give the agent durable memory
The docs say to save stable preferences, project conventions and workflow rules.
They are clear that memory is for durable facts, not for disposable task logs.
Tell the agent your business, your tone of voice, your time zone and the rules it must always follow.
Step 9: Schedule one recurring job
The home page gives "daily briefing at 7am" as an example instruction.
The integrations page says to schedule recurring checks only after the output format and the destination are clear.
Run the job by hand once, fix the output, and only then put it on a schedule.

How To Use Each FlyHermes Feature
The FlyHermes docs describe four core pieces, and they are the same pieces that make Hermes useful anywhere.
Memory
Memory stores your preferences, environment notes and project conventions, so the agent doesn't start from zero each session.
Use it for facts that stay true for months.
Skills
The docs describe skills as reusable workflow playbooks with exact commands, pitfalls and verification steps.
The FlyHermes skills page groups them into software development, growth marketing, research, productivity, ML operations, and creative and media.
A skill is the right home for any job you'll repeat every week.
Tools
The docs list browser, terminal, GitHub, email, calendars, files, web research, images and custom MCP servers.
The integrations page adds Gmail, Google Workspace, Discord and Telegram, and it describes files and terminal work with auditable tool output.
Scheduled work
Scheduled work lets the agent run recurring checks, briefs, monitors and reminders without a prompt from you.
The home page lists scheduled jobs in the FlyHermes Pro plan, and the app page lists them from the Solopreneur tier upwards.
Models
The home page names Claude, GPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and Llama as supported model families.
It doesn't list exact model versions, and it says FlyHermes manages the model access layer as supported models change.
If a specific model version matters to you, ask support which versions are live before you subscribe.
FlyHermes Limits And Fine Print
This is the section most sales pages skip, so I read the legal pages.
- The home page doesn't state the size of the monthly usage allowance, and the app page caps tiers by tasks per day instead.
- The site doesn't publish server specs, storage sizes or data centre regions, so I can't tell you where your agent runs.
- The terms say FlyHermes does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and SLA-backed uptime is only listed for team and enterprise plans.
- The terms say you are solely responsible for backups, and that no automated backup service is provided unless your plan says so.
- The terms say cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing period, after which your instance is decommissioned and its data is permanently deleted.
- The privacy policy says instance data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion or cancellation.
The refund position needs care.
The refund policy, last updated on 7 June 2026, gives first-time subscribers 14 days to ask for a refund.
A monthly refund is the first month's payment minus AI credits used, based on FlyHermes usage records.
The terms page on the app domain, last updated on 6 March 2026, still says all payments are final and non-refundable.
The refund policy is the newer document, but I'd email support and get the answer in writing before buying an annual plan.
FlyHermes Privacy And Security Notes
The privacy policy says API keys you provide are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, and data in transit uses TLS.
It says card numbers are not stored, because Stripe handles payment.
It lists Supabase for the database and authentication, Stripe for payments, Google for login and Vercel for hosting and analytics.
It says FlyHermes does not sell your personal data to third parties.
One line in that policy says AI providers are used "via your own API keys only", which doesn't match the home page promise of included model access.
The policy is dated 6 March 2026 and the home page is newer, so I read that as a legal page that hasn't caught up.
The practical point is the same as with any hosted agent.
Your messages, your connected accounts and your files pass through somebody else's infrastructure, so connect the least you can and keep client secrets out of chat.

FlyHermes vs Hermes Cloud vs A VPS vs Your Own Mac
I checked the Hermes Cloud prices on the Nous Portal on 11 October 2026.
| Route | Who runs it | Price I saw | Model costs | What you manage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FlyHermes | HF Data Studio LLC, an independent company | $49 a month, or $39 a month annually | Included, inside a usage allowance | Your channels, tools and memory |
| Hermes Cloud | Nous Research, the makers of Hermes | $0.51 a day running on Standard, $0.99 on Pro, $0.03 a day stopped | Billed on top of the instance | Your channels, tools, memory and model spend |
| Self-managed VPS | You | A server bill, such as the hosts in my VPS ranking | Billed by your model provider | Everything, including updates, security and backups |
| Your own Mac | You | No hosting bill | Free with local models, or billed by your provider | Keeping the machine awake and online |
Hermes Cloud is the official hosted route, and the Standard size has 2GB of RAM, 2 vCPUs and 10 concurrent sessions.
Thirty days of Standard running non-stop is about $15.30 before model usage, and you need a $2 minimum credit balance or an active Nous subscription to deploy.
FlyHermes costs more per month on paper, but its price includes model access, where Hermes Cloud bills inference separately.
A self-managed VPS gives you the most control, and my best Hermes Agent VPS ranking has the hosts, prices and the full Oracle Cloud setup commands.
Your own Mac is where I do my building, and my one-click Hermes setup walkthrough shows that install.
If you want the whole stack compared, my best Hermes Agent setup post ranks the options.
I first wrote about this service in June in my best Hermes VPS post on the AI Profit Boardroom blog, and the price on the home page is the same today as it was then.
Who FlyHermes Suits And Who Should Skip It
FlyHermes suits a non-technical owner who wants a working agent on Telegram this afternoon and is happy to pay a flat fee for that.
It suits someone who doesn't want five model accounts and five bills.
You should skip it if you want to choose exact models, run local models, or control where your data lives.
You should also skip it if you enjoy the terminal, because Hermes itself is free and the official install is one command.
My own preference is to own the setup, because you learn how the agent works and nothing disappears if a subscription ends.
