The best AI agent course free of charge in 2026 is my own AI Money Lab, which is a free Skool community with free AI courses inside it.
I am telling you up front that this is my own list, and that the first few picks are my own free courses.
After those, I list six free courses from Hugging Face, Microsoft, DeepLearning.AI, Google and Kaggle, Anthropic and LangChain, and I checked each provider's own page on 13 October 2026.
Every pick in the ranked list is free to start today, and I say plainly where a certificate or an extra feature costs money.

How I Checked That Each Course Is Really Free
I opened every provider's own page on 13 October 2026 and looked for three things.
- I checked whether the page itself uses the word free.
- I checked whether there is a paid plan sitting behind the lessons.
- I checked whether the certificate costs extra.
A course only made the ranked list if you can start learning today without a card.
I left prices for paid extras out, because they change and I will not guess a number.
My Free Picks, One By One
1. AI Money Lab
AI Money Lab is my free community on Skool, and its about page showed a free label and 93.2k members on 13 October 2026.
The page lists free AI courses, a free AI community and proven AI case studies.
It also lists training on how to make money with AI agents, 1,000+ n8n workflows, 200+ ChatGPT prompts and 50+ free AI tools.
The page says the lessons come in video, audio, PDF and printable formats.
It sits at number one because you get lessons and people to ask in the same place.
2. How to Build Agent OS - FREE Course!
This is my free YouTube course on building an Agent OS, and it is the video at the top of this page.
An Agent OS is a dashboard that runs several AI agents under one shared memory.
You should watch it when you want to see the whole system and not only one agent.
3. Hermes FULL COURSE 2 HOURS
My two-hour Hermes course is also free on YouTube.
Hermes Agent is the open-source agent from Nous Research, and it is the main agent I teach.
This is the best free pick if you want one agent doing one real job by the end of the weekend.
4. My Free AI SEO Course
My free AI SEO course currently shows 262 video lessons across 22 modules.
It is an SEO course first, and it includes an AI Agents module that the page lists at 20+ lessons.
The page says it is 100% free with no credit card, and it asks for your email so it can send your login.
5. Hugging Face AI Agents Course
The Hugging Face AI Agents Course describes itself as a free course that takes you from beginner to expert.
It teaches the smolagents, LlamaIndex and LangGraph libraries.
The page says you need basic Python and a free Hugging Face account.
It also says the certification process is completely free, and that there is no deadline.
The recommended pace on the page is one chapter a week at about three to four hours.
6. Microsoft AI Agents for Beginners
AI Agents for Beginners is a public Microsoft repository on GitHub under the MIT licence.
GitHub describes it as 18 lessons to get started building AI agents, and each lesson has text and code.
The code samples use the Microsoft Agent Framework with Microsoft Foundry, and the README says an Azure account is required for them.
The lessons are free to read, but you should check what your own Azure usage would cost before you run the samples.
7. DeepLearning.AI Short Courses
DeepLearning.AI has a catalogue of short courses with an Agents topic.
One example is AI Agents in LangGraph, which the page lists as an intermediate course of 1 hour 42 minutes.
That page shows an "Enroll for Free" button and says access is free for a limited time during the learning platform beta.
The accomplishment on that course is tied to the paid Pro membership.
The longer Agentic AI course taught by Andrew Ng says you can audit the videos for free, but assessments and the certificate need Pro.
8. Google And Kaggle 5-Day AI Agents Intensive
Google and Kaggle ran a live 5-Day AI Agents Intensive in November 2025.
Google's own recap says all the coursework has been turned into a Kaggle Learn Guide.
That means you can work through the material at your own pace today.
I could not confirm a certificate for the self-paced guide, so I would not take it for a badge.
9. Anthropic Academy
Anthropic's learning page describes free courses, tutorials and use cases from its education team.
The course catalogue includes Building with the Claude API, Introduction to Model Context Protocol, Introduction to subagents and Introduction to agent skills.
The course FAQ mentions completion certificates, and I did not see a fee listed for them.
This is the pick if you plan to build agents on Claude.
10. LangChain Academy
LangChain Academy says on its own FAQ that its course content is always free.
The same FAQ says the paid offering is the LangChain Certified Agent Engineer exam.
It suggests starting with Introduction to LangChain, Introduction to LangGraph or Introduction to Deep Agents.
11. The Written Courses On agentos.guide
I also publish free written courses on agentos.guide.
The Hermes crash course and the Agent OS build guide are the two I would read first.
They are useful when you would rather copy prompts from a page than pause a video.

How To Take The Free Courses In The Right Order
Most people fail with free courses because they start five at once.
This is the order I would follow if I were starting again today.
- Join AI Money Lab first, so you have somewhere to ask questions.
- Watch the Hermes course and install Hermes Agent while you watch.
- Give your agent one small job and run it every day for a week.
- Watch the Agent OS course once that single agent is useful.
- Add one technical course, such as Hugging Face or Microsoft, only if you want to write code.
- Use Anthropic Academy or LangChain Academy when you choose a framework.
The rule behind that order is simple.
You should learn with one agent doing one job before you learn frameworks.
Free Tools To Practise With
A course only sticks when you practise, and you can practise for free.

Free models change often, and they can be rate limited, so you should switch to another free model when one slows down.

What Free Courses Leave Out
Free courses are good, and I still want to be honest about the gaps.
- Free courses rarely give you live help when your own setup breaks.
- Free courses usually teach one tool, so nobody shows you how the pieces fit your business.
- Free video goes out of date quickly in a subject that changes every week.
- Free courses give you no deadline, so many people never finish.
- Free courses do not hand you a finished system to install.
None of that is a reason to skip them.
It is a reason to finish the free list first and then decide what help you still need.
