This Hark Pro review is built from six real tests I ran on the free plan, and my verdict is 4 out of 5 for anyone who wants a personal agent that actually does jobs.
Hark Pro is a personal AI agent from Hark Labs that reads your email, remembers you and completes tasks on its own cloud computer.
It's free with every feature, it works on the web, iOS and Android, and the two paid plans only add usage.
I'm writing this one for operators, which means people who want to see the agent work before they trust it.
So instead of just telling you my score, I'll show you each test, how to repeat it yourself in a few minutes, and what result to expect.
The Short Hark Pro Review Verdict
Here's my result before the detail.
Hark Pro passed five of my six tests with strong grades, and the only clear miss was voice, because it doesn't talk back.
It's the easiest personal agent I've set up, and it was easier to get running than Grok Bot.
It still acts on real accounts, so the approval settings you choose matter more than any feature.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Product | Hark Pro, a personal AI agent with its own cloud computer |
| Maker | Hark Labs, run by Brett Adcock, who also founded Figure |
| Price | It's free, with Pro² at $20 a month and Pro³ at $100 a month for more usage |
| Platforms | It runs on the web, iOS and Android |
| Age limit | Hark's terms say you must be 18 or over |
| My score | I give it 4 out of 5 |
If you want the full setup steps rather than a review, I covered those in my Hark AI agent setup walkthrough, and the Hark Pro explainer covers what it is in plain English.
My Hark Pro Review Test Plan
I designed these tests to cover every core feature without risking any money.
| # | Test | Feature it checks | Risk level |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sign up and connect email | Onboarding and memory | It's low risk. |
| 2 | Book a restaurant and stop it | Handoff, the cloud computer | It's medium risk, so you stop before it confirms. |
| 3 | Build a productivity panel | Panels and Home | It's low risk. |
| 4 | Let it triage your inbox | Proactive inbox | It's low risk because you approve each item. |
| 5 | Ask it to prep your day | Prep my day and calendar | It's low risk. |
| 6 | Speak a request | Voice and attachments | It's low risk. |
You can run all six in under an hour, and that hour will tell you more than any review, including this one.

Test 1: Onboarding And Email Connect
Here's how to repeat it.
- Sign up at hark.com or install the Hark Pro app on iOS or Android.
- Connect your email first, because that's what Hark recommends.
- Check the details it shows you, such as your location, and correct anything that's wrong.
- Answer its opening question with one real job you want off your plate.
I connected my Gmail, and Hark Pro greeted me with, "Hi Julian. What's one thing on your plate this week I could take off?"
It suggested the kind of jobs it's built for, such as booking a trip, a dinner reservation or an appointment.
The whole thing took a few minutes, and nothing about it was confusing.
That's why onboarding gets my highest grade, and why I'd hand this to a non-technical friend before any other agent.
Result: It passed with an A.
Test 2: The Restaurant Booking Test
This is the test that shows whether Hark Pro is an agent or just a chatbot.
Here's how to repeat it safely.
- Ask it to book a restaurant for a specific day next week.
- Answer its follow-up questions about party size and time.
- Watch its computer screen as it works.
- Tell it to stop before it confirms, unless you genuinely want the table.
I typed, "Book an Italian restaurant for Wednesday next week."
It asked how many people and what time, and I replied "6pm, two people" with a typo.
It understood me perfectly and started booking one of my favourite restaurants on its own computer screen.
I told it to stop before it completed, because this was a test.
The important part for operators is how connected apps behave.
Once an app is connected, Hark Pro can use it directly inside its own computer.
With Grok Bot, I often had to log in again through its computer before it could reach my screen, so this is a real step up.
Result: It passed with an A-, and the minus is only there because you must watch it closely.
Here's my Grok Bot comparison video, which is the benchmark I had in my head during this test.
Test 3: Building A Panel
Panels are mini apps on your Home screen, and you build one by describing it.
Here's how to repeat it.
- Open Home and choose to create a new panel.
- Type what you want to track, such as your productivity.
- Answer the clarifying questions it asks.
- Connect the app it suggests, if you use one.
When I asked for a productivity panel, Hark Pro asked whether I meant meeting hours versus focus time, or my to-do tasks.
It offered to connect ClickUp or Asana to power it.
The example panels I saw tracked calendar events, Shopify packages arriving this week and new Apple Podcasts episodes.
Fitness, workout and calorie tracking panels are obvious next ideas, and Hark's site says Panels can connect to services such as Strava, Spotify and Venmo.
Home pulls together your spaces, Panels and Action Buttons, and you can even pay bills from it.
Result: It passed with an A, and it's the feature I'd show a friend first.

Test 4: The Proactive Inbox
The proactive inbox reads your emails and proposes action items.
Here's how to repeat it.
- Make sure your email is connected.
- Open the proactive inbox and read the action items it suggests.
- Say yes to the ones you want done and no to the rest.
The value here is that it turns a pile of email into a short list of decisions.
You don't read every message, because it has already pulled out what needs doing.
My one caution is that every yes is an instruction, so read each item before you tap it.
Result: It passed with a B+, because it works well but you still need to check each suggestion.
Test 5: Prep My Day
Prep my day checks your calendar and inbox and builds your itinerary for the day.
Here's how to repeat it.
- Connect your calendar as well as your email.
- Ask Hark Pro to prep your day.
- Accept any follow-up it offers that's useful.
The example I saw said, "Your inbox is clean. Do you want me to pull in the sales numbers before your team sales meeting at 4 p.m.?"
That's the proactive behaviour I want from an assistant, because it spots the meeting and offers the prep before I ask.
The same idea extends to trip planning, where Hark Pro can find camping spots, write a packing list, tell you when to leave and book flights.
Result: It passed with an A, and it's the feature I'd use every morning.
Test 6: Voice And Attachments
Here's how to repeat it.
- Tap the microphone and speak a request.
- Attach a file to a message and ask a question about it.
Hark Pro accepts voice input and attachments.
It doesn't talk back, so every reply comes back as text.
Result: It got a C, because voice is input only.

The Features My Tests Didn't Cover Directly
A fair review should mention the parts I saw but didn't stress-test.
- Projects are dedicated threads with their own files, built for long-horizon work such as planning a big event or tracking one work topic.
- Side prompts such as "quiet this" and "close this notification" sit beside the chat to tidy things up.
- The "show" function pulls items straight into the chat.
- The scheduled tasks section lists every recurring job you set up in chat, so you can manage them in one place.
- The integrations I saw included Gmail, Slack, GitHub, LinkedIn, Notion, Amazon and PayPal.
- You can add your wallet, which I'd leave until last.
The Operator Scorecard For Hark Pro
Here's how the six tests roll up into scores.
| Area | Score out of 10 | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Setup speed | 9 | It was ready for a task in minutes after I connected Gmail. |
| Task completion | 8 | It started a real booking from a messy request. |
| Proactive help | 9 | The proactive inbox and Prep my day found work for me. |
| Control | 7 | Approvals exist, but standing permissions are easy to over-grant. |
| Voice | 4 | It takes voice input but never speaks back. |
| Transparency | 5 | Hark hasn't named the model behind its main assistant. |
| Overall | 8, or 4 out of 5 | It's the best first personal agent I've tested. |
The Approval Settings I'd Use Before Going Live
This is the most important operator section in this Hark Pro review.
Hark's terms say a transaction is authorised the moment you confirm it.
They also say you can give Hark standing permission to complete a category of transactions without asking you first.
And they say Hark isn't the merchant of record for most purchases, so refunds go through the shop or your card issuer.
For US users, Hark's liability is capped at the greater of what you paid in the previous 12 months or $100.
So here's my setup checklist.
- Keep confirmation on for every booking, purchase and payment for at least the first few weeks.
- Grant no standing permissions until Hark Pro has completed several jobs correctly in front of you.
- Add your wallet only after the no-money tests have all passed.
- Check the scheduled tasks section every week and delete anything you no longer need.
- Remove stored credentials from your account settings if you stop using it, because the terms say you can do that at any time.
On the privacy side, Hark's privacy policy says your account won't be used to train AI models, and its terms say its AI providers aren't allowed to train on your content.
The privacy policy also says Hark hasn't sold or shared personal data in the previous 12 months.
Should You Pay For Pro² Or Pro³?
Hark's pricing page says every plan includes every feature, and upgrading only raises usage.
| Plan | Price | Usage | When an operator should pick it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | It gives you base usage with no ads. | You should pick it for all six tests and your first few weeks. |
| Pro² | $20 a month | It gives you 2x more usage. | You should pick it when you hit the free cap every week. |
| Pro³ | $100 a month | It gives you 10x more usage. | You should pick it only if Hark Pro runs most of your personal admin. |
Run the full test plan on the free plan first.
Brett Adcock also posted before launch that the first 100,000 sign-ups would get a paid plan free, though reports don't agree on the tier or how long it lasts, so check your account before paying.
Hark Pro vs OpenClaw For Operators
In the video I described Hark Pro as a very simple, easy-to-use version of something like OpenClaw, straight out of the box.
| What matters | Hark Pro | OpenClaw |
|---|---|---|
| Time to first task | It takes minutes. | It takes as long as your configuration takes. |
| Model choice | You can't choose, and Hark hasn't named it. | You choose any model. |
| Where it runs | It runs on Hark's cloud computer. | It runs wherever you set it up. |
| Best use | It's best for personal life admin. | It's best for custom workflows you own. |
If you want an agent you own end to end, my one-click Hermes agent setup and the free, local StarNet AI agent are the routes I'd look at.
Hark Pro isn't the only agent with its own cloud computer, either, and this is my look at another one.
Should You Switch To Hark Pro?
A viewer asked whether, after Hermes, Muse, Dots, Grok, OpenBot and now Hark, the differences are big enough to switch and configure everything from scratch.
My honest answer is that you shouldn't rebuild a working setup for every launch.
Run my six tests, and only move a job to Hark Pro if it clearly does it better than what you already have.
If you've never had a personal agent working, Hark Pro is the easiest place to start.
Hark has also said it's working on its own hardware, and launch coverage points to 2027 for that, so this is a product to keep an eye on.

FAQ: Hark Pro Review
What tests should I run on Hark Pro first?
Start with onboarding, then a booking you stop before it completes.
Then try a Panel, the proactive inbox, Prep my day and a voice request.
How long does Hark Pro take to set up?
It took me a few minutes.
You sign up, connect email first, confirm your details and give it a task.
Which approval settings should I use in Hark Pro?
Keep confirmation on for every booking and payment, and don't grant standing permissions at first.
Add your wallet only after Hark Pro has finished several jobs correctly.
Do I need Pro² or Pro³ to test Hark Pro properly?
No, because every plan includes every feature.
Pro² is $20 a month for 2x usage, and Pro³ is $100 a month for 10x usage.
Is Hark Pro a good replacement for OpenClaw?
It's a good replacement only for personal tasks.
OpenClaw still wins if you want to choose the model and wire everything yourself.
