The best free Skool community to join today is AI Money Lab, which is my own community and costs nothing to join.

I run it, so please weigh my pick with that in mind.

Its public about page showed a Free label and 93.3k members when I checked on 14 October 2026.

This page gives you the answer first, then five more free communities I verified the same day, and then the exact steps to find, check and join one.

I also cover whether you can create your own Skool community for free, using only what Skool's pricing page shows today.

The Free Skool Community Picks At A Glance

Here is the short list, because that is what you came for.

# Free Skool community Run by What it is about Label on 14 Oct 2026 Members shown
1 AI Money Lab (mine) Julian Goldie AI, AI agents and AI SEO for beginners Free 93.3k
2 AI Automation Society Nate Herk AI automation and Claude Code Free 470.4k
3 AI Automation Agency Hub Morningside Education Building an AI agency Free 336.1k
4 Skoolers Sam Ovens Building your own Skool community Free 152.5k
5 Synthesizer Andrew Kirby Teaching and growing on Skool Free 47.1k
6 Unison Producer Growth Hub Unison Music production Free 49.8k

Every label and every member figure in that table is copied from the community's own public Skool about page on 14 October 2026.

I put my own community first because this is my site and my list, and I would rather tell you that than pretend to be neutral.

The other five are ordered by how close their topic is to AI and online business, which is what most of my readers want.

I have not taken every lesson inside the five third-party communities, so I describe what their public pages state and nothing more.

What A Free Skool Community Is And How It Works

Skool is a platform where a creator runs a community and a course in the same place.

A free Skool community is simply a Skool group whose owner has set the membership price to nothing.

You still get the same four parts that a paid group has.

Part of Skool What it is What you do there in a free group
Community It is a feed of posts, questions and wins from members. You introduce yourself, ask for help and share what you built.
Classroom It holds the courses, split into modules and lessons. You work through the free training in order.
Calendar It lists live events such as calls and workshops. You add the next event to your own diary.
Map It shows where members are in the world. You look for people who live near you.

Most groups also have Members, Leaderboards and About tabs.

The About tab is the public page you can read before you join, and it shows whether the group is free, how many members it has and who runs it.

Every about page also says whether the group is Public or Private.

A public group lets anyone read the feed, while a private group only shows its content to members.

A private group can still be free, and four of the six groups on my list are private and free at the same time.

The 6 Free Skool Communities I Verified Today

1. AI Money Lab (my own free community)

AI Money Lab is my free community, and it is the one I would start with if you want to learn AI.

Its about page lists free AI courses, 50+ free AI tools, 200+ ChatGPT SEO prompts and 1,000+ n8n workflows.

The page also says the training comes as video, audio, PDF and a printable version.

The group is private, so you press the join button and wait to be let in.

Best for: Beginners who want a free AI course and a community before they pay for anything.

2. AI Automation Society

Nate Herk runs AI Automation Society, and it is the largest free group on this list by the number its page shows.

The about page lists free Claude Code skills, GitHub repos, resource guides and 100+ n8n templates.

It also describes a 7-day challenge where you build an AI executive assistant.

The group is public, so you can look at the feed before you join.

Best for: People who want to build AI automations and like learning by following a challenge.

3. AI Automation Agency Hub

Morningside Education runs AI Automation Agency Hub, and the team says it also runs an AI agency called Morningside AI.

The about page lists step-by-step resources, templates and playbooks for people starting an AI agency.

The page says new members are accepted within one to two minutes.

Best for: People who want to sell AI services to clients.

4. Skoolers

Sam Ovens runs Skoolers, and the about page calls it a private club for Skool owners.

It lists training on how to start a community, weekly news calls, a member map and meetups around the world.

Best for: Anyone who wants to run their own Skool community one day.

5. Synthesizer

Andrew Kirby runs Synthesizer, and the about page says it helps educators use Skool.

It lists the Synthesizer Roadmap course and weekly Skool growth coaching calls, and both are marked free on the page.

Best for: Teachers and creators who want to build an educational community.

6. Unison Producer Growth Hub

The Unison Producer Growth Hub is a free community for music producers.

Its about page lists five hours of free course videos, 3.5GB of free samples and presets, and project templates.

Best for: Music producers who want free training and people to collaborate with.

I added a music group on purpose, because a free Skool community does not have to be about business or AI.

How To Find More Free Skool Communities On The Discover Page

Skool has a public page that lists communities, and it lives at skool.com/discovery.

The page is headed "Discover communities or create your own", and you can open it without logging in.

These are the steps I follow when I look for a new free Skool community.

  1. Open the discovery page and look at the row of category tabs.

  2. Pick a category, and today the tabs are Trending, Hobbies, Music, Money, Spirituality, Tech, Health, Sports, Self-improvement and Relationships.

  3. Press the Filter button, which offers Type, Price and Language options.

  4. Set the Price option to Free, and the list then shows free groups only.

  5. Read each card, which shows the group name, a short description, the member count and a Free label or a price.

  6. Check the star rating on the card, which appears when a group has reviews.

  7. Open the about page of any group that looks right before you join.

The Type option lets you choose between public and private groups.

The Language option matters more than people think, because Skool lists communities in dozens of languages.

How To Join A Free Skool Community Step By Step

Joining takes a few minutes, and you do not need a card for a free group.

  1. Open the community's about page and confirm that it shows a Free label.

  2. Read the description so you know what you get and who runs it.

  3. Press the join button on that page.

  4. Create a Skool account with your email, or log in if you already have one.

  5. Answer the membership questions if the group asks any.

  6. Wait for approval if the group is private, which can take minutes or longer depending on the owner.

  7. Open the Classroom tab first and start with the welcome or start-here course.

One Skool account works for every community you join, so you only sign up once.

I recommend joining one free Skool community at a time, because five half-read classrooms teach you less than one finished course.

How To Check A Free Skool Community Before You Join

Free does not cost money, but it does cost time, so I run a quick check first.

  • I check that the about page shows a Free label today, because owners can change the price.
  • I check who runs the group and look them up on YouTube or their own website.
  • I check that the page lists real training and not only a promise.
  • I check whether the page mentions live calls, and I look for them in the calendar once I am inside.
  • I check that the newest posts in the feed are from this week.
  • I walk away if anyone guarantees a set income or asks me to pay outside Skool.

These are general checks, and they are not aimed at any community named on this page.

Your First Seven Days Inside A Free Skool Community

A free group only helps if you use it, so this is the plan I give new members of my own community.

  • On day one, I want you to watch the welcome lesson and post a short introduction.
  • On day two, I want you to finish the first module without skipping ahead.
  • On day three, I want you to apply one lesson to a real task in your own work.
  • On day four, I want you to post what you made and ask one clear question.
  • On day five, I want you to reply to two other members, because helping is how people remember you.
  • On day six, I want you to add the next live event from the calendar to your diary.
  • On day seven, I want you to decide honestly whether the group is moving you forward.

If you are learning AI agents, my guide on how to learn AI agents for free gives you a longer plan to follow.

The first agent most of my members install is Hermes, and I cover that in how to set up Hermes Agent in one click.

Can You Create A Skool Community For Free?

Joining a free group costs nothing, but creating your own group is a different question.

I checked Skool's pricing page on 14 October 2026, and this is exactly what it shows.

Plan Monthly price shown Transaction fee shown What the page lists
Hobby $9 a month 10% It lists unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls.
Pro $99 a month 2.9% It lists unlimited members, courses, videos and live calls.

Both plans have a "Try for free" button, and the page's own description says you get a 14-day free trial and can cancel anytime.

The page also has a Monthly and Yearly switch, and the yearly option is labelled as two months free.

I did not see a permanently free creator plan on that page.

So you can start a Skool community without paying on day one, but it becomes a paid plan after the trial ends.

What you can do for free forever is set your members' price to free, which is exactly how the six groups above work.

Prices change, so please read the pricing page yourself before you decide.

Ready To Go Further? The AI Profit Boardroom (Paid)

Everything above this line is free, and this section is the paid option.

The AI Profit Boardroom is my paid community, and it has 3,400+ members.

It runs four coaching calls a week, so you can ask about your own business and get an answer live.

The classroom includes my installable Agent OS, which is the dashboard I use to run a crew of AI agents under one shared memory.

It also has courses on Hermes Agent, Grok Bot, DeepSeek Harness, Claude Opus 5.5 and Jev AI.

FatRank named it the #1 AI community after testing 27 communities.

It is a paid community, and the current price is on its about page.

My honest advice is to start in the free group, prove to yourself that you will do the work, and then pay for coaching when you need faster answers.

I compared my paid and free options against other groups in my ranked list of the best Skool courses.

Free Skool Community Vs Paid Skool Community

Question Free Skool community Paid Skool community
What does it cost to join? It costs nothing to join. The price is shown on the about page.
How big is the group? Free groups are often very large. Paid groups are usually smaller.
How much live help is there? It depends on the group and its owner. There are usually more calls and more direct answers.
Who is it for? It suits people who are still exploring. It suits people with a clear goal who want to move faster.

Neither one is better for everyone, and the right choice depends on how much help you need right now.
